We were recently contacted by Groveland Elementary School in Minnetonka, MN asking if we would help them put the finishing touch on their new “Learning Commons”. I initially thought they would possibly like a small map to display, but soon learned that they were looking for something much bigger… a 54′ wide curtain using our lake minnetonka map as the image on the curtain. We quickly jumped on board to the project and decided to donate our services and a map graphic to help complete the space for the children. The following image is a preliminary rendering showing what he curtain could look like.
The map is a great fit for the room since the entire space was designed around the theme: “Reading by the Lake”. Below are a couple more images of the current space.
